The City of White House Stormwater Program works to provide public education and outreach regarding drainage and flooding issues. We encourage the public to participate as we assist in organizing stream clean-ups, education activities, and various storm water promotional items that increase awareness about pollution that impacts our watershed. You can read the details below and send us a request. Please use the form below and send each individual request separately.
TYPES OF REQUESTS
CLEAN-UPS
Request help organizing a clean-up of the drainage system in your neighborhood or at your school! Clean-ups are a great awareness activity and make a positive impact on water quality.
Include the following details:
- Approximate estimation on age and number of participants
- General location of clean-up
- Type of litter in the area
(e.g., paper and plastic trash or heavy debris) - Approximate number of storm drains to be marked
EDUCATION ACTIVITIES
Request an education activity for your students! We provide numerous age-appropriate activities from story-time to the water cycle and water quality sampling. We supply coloring books to inspire young minds on topics such as water conservation. You can also request to have your class participate in specialty events such as Career Day, Earth Day or Arbor Day.
Include the following details:
- Name of school and if it is in City limits
- Approximate age and number of students
- Date activity is requested
- Educational Activity requested
PROMOTIONAL ITEMS
Request some of our promotional items for individual use or events! Some promotional items available for request are as follows:
- Scoop the Poop pet waste bag dispensers
- Skip a Straw! Save a Turtle! reusable straws
- Keep Our Environment Clean coloring books
- Insulated Totes
- Coffee Mugs, and more
Include the following details:
- Type of event and amount of promotional item(s) requested
