Every year the White House Police Department and the White House Fire Department assist local children through the "Shop with a Cop and Firefighter" program. This program sponsors children from disadvantaged families to provide Christmas gifts for the children. The children are partnered with a Police Officer or a Firefighter and allowed to shop at Wal-Mart for Christmas presents for themselves and family members. For many of the children this event will be the only Christmas gifts they receive.

Of course, this event requires money in order to allow the children to shop. The program is involved with sponsoring events to assist in raising money for the program. If a business or individual is interest in being part of sponsoring future fundraisers or providing donations for the yearly program to assist in continuing this program, donations can be made at the Farmers Bank located on Hwy 76 and Hwy 31W. The donation will need to be given to the White House Rotary Club with specifications that the donation is for the Shop with a Cop and Firefighter program.
