Project Description
The Wastewater Treatment Facility was approved May 18th 2021 to Reeves Young, LLC. This project includes construction of a new Wastewater Treatment Facility that will service existing and future residents of White House.
The Work is generally described as follows: Construction of improvements to the City of White House Wastewater Treatment Plant to increase capacity from 1.4 million gallons per day (mgd) to 2.0 mgd, including new grit removal, bioreactor, clarification, filtration, and UV disinfection facilities; replacement of sludge pumps; installation of a new effluent pipeline; construction of a new administration and laboratory building; and associated electrical and control system improvements.
Project Updates
- Awarded May 18th to Reeves Young, LLC
- July 2020 Construction Began
- April 11, 2022 Structures are going vertical
- Scheduled to be completed in or around April 2023
- The Plant is approximately 75% complete
- Due to lead times with certain electrical components, the contractor will demobilize and return on an unidentified date. The facility completion has been tentatively pushed to April 2024.

Project Impacts
Residents will feel no impacts during the construction process. The existing facility will continue to operate until the new facility goes online. The current facility is operating at 55% capacity.
There will be an increase of motor vehicle traffic on Industrial Drive.
Latest Updates
All buildings and structures are almost complete, underground electrical utilities are being installed, and equipment deliveries are still arriving.
