Project Description
A new Southern Force-Main would facilitate increased sanitary sewer flow capacities and allow for additional growth in the south eastern corridor within the City of White House. The new force-main to be designed will be a 20-inch line, and will ultimately replace the 12-inch line currently in the same corridor.
Project Updates
- Purchase Order entered 05/25/2021 for Design
- 2/01/2022 boring started under I-65
- The bore under I-65 with casing is complete.
- 5/14/2022 Contractor exposed gas line at the corner of State Road 76 and Loves Lane
- 6/06/2022 is the anticipated start date for the 76 Bore
- Phase 1 of the project has been completed
- Phase 2 was awarded on August 8th, 2022 to Twin States in the amount of $989,836.00
- Twin States has ordered all pipe and parts necessary for Phase II
- Boring I-65 and 76 are complete
- Phase 3 is going out to Bid sometime in the beginning of next year 2023
- Phase 3 will run from DEE CEE Ct to Industrial Drive into the wastewater treatment facility
- All utilities conflicts have been identified in Phase 3 with hydro-excavating.
Project Location
The Force Main will ultimately run from the Wastewater Treatment Facility on 725 Industrial Drive across town to Tyree Springs into a lift station to be located in Dorris Farms at Willow Springs.
Project Impacts
Exposing a gas main by hydro excavation, acquisition of pipe and valves has delayed a portion of the project.
There will be an increase of motor vehicle traffic at construction locations
